Rumors

Imagine having all of this sexual energy stored inside you without a release button
Imagine living in a world that has told you to bottle that vitality because its uncanny
Imagine finally building up the courage to open your legs
just to close them because you weren’t as ready as you thought you were
Now imagine how the person you decided to share your body with feels about you
Imagine the comments they’re making me in their head
Imagine what they’ll tell their friends
Now imagine roommates spreading stories just because they’ve seen you under their roof
Imagine what that could do
Just because you shared a bed sexual scenarios build in their head
Imagine that moment taking months because that person had to gain your trust
Imagine the time spent being innocent
watching movies, doing homework and shit
Now imagine hearing about him “killing” your shit
When he barely even hit

C is for Cycle

Each day is harder than the last
I keep wondering if this will last
And I don’t wanna get gassed
Cause I have a habit of feeling feelings that’ll pass
Built on soft words that turn me on
Since I’m so hard
I wanna believe what you say
But recycled cans get painted over
And over
Until I find myself under again
Flesh on my flesh
And then I fall again

My name is Nia, it means purpose in Swahili. I'm a 23 year old artist. I write, I draw, I record, I capture. Photography is one of my favorite forms of art. Being able to capture memories is one of the purest forms of bliss to me because they last a lifetime. Most people tend to take the blessing of that for granted. I'm from New York so I keep it a buck. I'm too brusque for some.
